Jason Miller – Executive Director
Executive Director Jason Miller got started in transportation accidentally when he started a weekend business taking Denver and Boulder, Colorado clients skiing and rafting. He quickly realized that there was more opportunity in the passenger transportation business than the adventure tour business and focused on building up a high quality shuttle and charter company, which he sold in 2001. After selling his business, Jason and his wife looked for other opportunities in the West and ended up moving to Idaho.
Jason has been with Mountain Rides since early 2007. Before joining Mountain Rides, Jason was Executive Director of Wood River Rideshare, a non-profit focused on promoting and providing ridesharing, bicycling and walking transportation solutions for the Sun Valley area. During his time at Mountain Rides, Jason has been instrumental in creating and growing a regional, multi-modal transportation organization for Blaine County. Jason has led the implementation of a new strategic direction for Mountain Rides that focuses on developing new routes and services, seamless integration of transportation modes, greater resource efficiencies, and building key partnerships.
A dedicated cyclist and user of public transportation, Jason brings tremendous passion to his work of furthering the usage of smart, efficient transportation options. It is not uncommon to find Jason riding a Mountain Rides bus, biking the Wood River Trail, or walking around town. He lives with his wife and two kids in Hailey and enjoys all that the Sun Valley area has to offer including skiing, camping, hiking, and biking.
